Giovanni Cutolo

I am a ‘ricercatore confermato’ in Algebra, at the Dipartimento di Matematica e Applicazioni of the Università Federico II in Napoli. (In italian universities a ‘ricercatore’ position is a permanent research and teaching position, where teaching mostly is support teaching.)

My research field is Group Theory, with some emphasis on nilpotent and soluble groups, and on automorphism groups. You can look at a (briefly commented) list of papers of mine to get a better idea.

These pages also have a section on teaching and related stuff (in Italian), with information related to courses that I am (or have been) involved in, including exercises and lecture notes.

On more mundane matters, some people liked this photo, taken by a former student of mine (which is a good reason to leave it here). This other picture makes me look younger.
