Current Periodicals: 170 subscribed, plus 135 exchanged for our department journal "Ricerche di Matematica"

Since autumn 1998, the following stock has been moved to the new central library of the Facoltà di Scienze MM.FF.NN (Biblioteca Centrale di Facoltà), which is also situated at Monte S. Angelo (ph. and fax 0039-081-676749):

• all the periodicals published in the years up to 1980, with the exception of Mathematical Reviews;
• all the extinct periodicals, with the exception of Zentralblatt der Mathematik;
• all the periodicals not in neolatin alphabets;
• many of the text books used for teaching purposes;
• all the publications of the Gazzetta Ufficiale up to two years preceding that in progress.

The periodicals have maintained their original arrangement while the texts are now labelled by the abbreviation BF.

Borrowing and/or reading in the library is allowed.

Three extra stocks are in the library; they are funded by our department's two PhD programs and higher school for Maths Education. This latter also holds a number of periodicals. Books from these extra stocks are labelled as follows:

• MAI (PhD program in Computer and Computation Sciences)
• DRM (PhD program in Mathematics)
• CPDM (higher school for Maths Education)
