The better way to reach Ischia is by boat from Naples. Ischia is a relatively
large island with several small towns.
You have to reach ISCHIA PORTO. This is possible from the following
tourist ports:
- Napoli Molo Beverello (Piazza Municipio: traghetti (= ferries), aliscafi
(=hydrofoils))
- Napoli Mergellina (hydrofoils)
- Pozzuoli (ferries)
The summertime table is not yet available. However our experience says
that from any of the three places above there are connections roughly every
hour from 07.30 a.m. to 08.00 p.m.
Suggestions:
- Molo Beverello should be chosen by people arriving to Napoli Centrale
- Piazza Garibaldi train station or at Capodichino International Airport.
Napoli Centrale is 3 km away from Molo Beverello.
Capodichino Airport is connected by bus to Piazza Municipio, the stop
is near to Molo Beverello.
-Mergellina tourist port should be chosen by people arriving to Mergellina train station from Rome or at Capodichino Airport. The distance from the railway station to the harbour is 400 m. If you reach Naples by train arriving to Campi Flegrei station, you can reach Mergellina by metro (two stops, direction Napoli Centrale - Gianturco).
- Pozzuoli port should be chosen by people (presumably mostly Italians) who are travelling to Ischia by car.

If necessary, it is possible to rent a car in Ischia, but this should
be done directly there, or you can use the rent car services at Fiumicino
(Rome) or Capodichino airports
