Mike Mineter
EGEE Training team

About Mike Mineter:
In April 2004 Mike joined the National e-Science Centre, Edinburgh as a member of the newly formed training team, contributing to the EGEE project. He is also active in Grids and Geographical Information Systems (GIS), as a consultant to EDINA. (EDINA is a group within the Edinburgh University Data Library, and is responsible for serving GIS data to the academic community in the UK.)

From 1992 until 2004 Mike was a research fellow in the Department of Geography, University of Edinburgh, applying high performance computing techniques to environmental modelling and GIS.

Prior to 1992, Mike worked in the software industry for 9 years; his doctorate was in nuclear structure physics at Oxford.
