Biography:

Dr Luisa Carracciuolo

Luisa Carracciuolo received a degree in Mathematics in 1995. She was involved in the PINEAPL (Parallel Industrial NumErical Applications and Portable Libraries) European project in 1996. She joined the PQE 2000 project with a scholarship from the Italian National Institute of Nuclear Physics in 1997 and 1998.
She carried out system management and software development activities at the Center for Research on Parallel Computing and Supercomputers of the Italian National Research Council (CPS-CNR) in 1999. She obtained a grant from the Department of Mathematics of University of Naples (Italy) in 2000 and 2001 to carry out research activities.
Since 2001 she has a permanent position as researcher at the Italian National Research Council (CNR). The aims of her scientific and technical activities are the design and development of algorithms, and related software, for High End Computing (HEC) environment and the management of systems for High Performance Computing as tools for parallel, distributed and grid computing.
She is actually involved in some italian national research projects as FIRB-Grid.it (WP9 grid enabled scientific libraries) and PON-SPACI.
