A series of seminars\u00a0 is organized by the MS program, Colloquia in Mathematical Engineering.\u00a0<\/span>Students are encouraged to attend seminars organized by other centers and Institutions depending on their specific interests.<\/div><div class=\"\"><div class=\"\"><p><span class=\"\" style=\"font-kerning: none;\">Forms to fill :\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dma.unina.it\/matheng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AttendanceAttestation.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"alternate noopener\">Attendance Attestation <\/a>\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dma.unina.it\/matheng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/SeminarsList.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"alternate noopener\">Seminars List<\/a><br \/><br \/><\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div><h2><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>MASTER THESIS<\/strong><\/span><\/h2><p>Every student will be assigned a <em>supervisor <\/em>and will choose the subject of the thesis\u00a0according to the suggestions of supervisor.\u00a0 If supervisor is not a member of Committee of Mathematical Engineering, a\u00a0co-supervisor will be assigned who must\u00a0be an academic staff member of Committee of Mathematical Engineering.<\/p><p>When the master\u2019s thesis starts, the student submits\u00a0the\u00a0subject of their thesis and the name of supervisor to <em>Ufficio Supporto alla Gestione della Valutazione della Didattica e della Ricerca e Supporto Informatico of Department of Mathematics and Applications \u201cR.Caccioppoli\u201d <\/em>, by\u00a0filling the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dma.unina.it\/matheng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/Form_Thesis_MathEng.doc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"alternate noopener\">Assessment Form Master&#8217;s Thesis<\/a>. This form\u2019s validity lasts 12 months.<\/p><p>All students must defend their master&#8217;s thesis. Such a defense consists of\u00a0an oral presentation and answering questions from a Committee. The student has to submit his application for the defense of the master\u2019s thesis to <em>Segreteria Studenti of Area Didattica di Scienze, <\/em>during the first 15 days of the month before the defense of their master&#8217;s thesis.<\/p><p>The student has to submit their master\u2019s\u00a0thesis and the pdf file of an abstract\u00a0to <em>Ufficio Supporto alla Gestione della Valutazione della Didattica e della Ricerca e Supporto Informatico<\/em> 15 days before the defense of master\u2019s thesis.<\/p><p>As far as the substantive aspect is concerned, it is especially important to choose the right level of detail that allows the student to give a clear picture of the problem and developed solutions within the time limit: 20 minutes are provided for the presentation and 5 minutes for questions.<\/p><p>A possible Latex template for the master thesis is available <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dma.unina.it\/matheng\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/Tesi_layout.zip\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"alternate noopener\">here<\/a>\u00a0 (by dott.
